STEM: See the difference

As part of VSP's open enrollment Vision To Share series, I suggested a cause close to my heart; encouraging more girls and young women into STEM careers. Being able to see clearly is the first and easy hurdle to overcome for aspiring STEM students.

VSP partnered with ChickTech, a nonprofit group that offers free hands-on workshops for high-school girls. I was excited to visit a coding workshop in Seattle and spend the day with some amazing teens and ChickTech volunteers. Next, we invited some more brilliant young women from the New York chapter to stop by our offices for a more in-depth chat.
