Transforming gaming

One day long ago, when the earth's crust was still cooling, I was handed a folder full of technical information about a new Verizon product called Verizon FiOS. Amongst the millions of pieces of direct mail, emails, and print ads I wrote was a gaming event on the beach in L. A. 

Top players and the infamous female gamers, The PMS Clan, took on each other in a day of playing Half Life 2. The action was super-fast, thanks to the 100% fiber-optic connection.
