Interrupting dog
Moe Heinz Waxman would like to interrupt this portfolio, as he does with every interaction I have with the world, to say hi.
Peanut butter and pumpkin pupper treats
I helped create social media content for Duncan Hines for over two years and baked almost everything for the photoshoots. After testing a few recipes, I developed this one for hearty, chewy treats for Moe.
Ingredients
2 cups white whole-wheat flour
1 cup rolled oats, old-fashioned or quick-cooking
2 large eggs
1 cup canned pumpkin
1 cup peanut butter, crunchy or plain
Directions
Preheat the oven to 300°F. Lightly grease baking sheets, or line them with parchment.
Mix the flour and oats, then add eggs, pumpkin, and peanut butter. Don’t be afraid to get hands-on with mixing.
Roll walnut-sized balls and place them on the baking sheets. Flatten them to about 1/4”.
Bake the biscuits for about 35-40 minutes.
Moejito
Stow your roll, spellcheck; I want to spell it that way. Just as I wanted a refreshing adult beverage, only to discover I didn’t have limes.
Ingredients
1 1/2 OZ BACARDÍ Superior Rum
3/4 OZ Giant Eagle Lemon juice
12 fresh mint leaves
2 TSP of whatever sugar you happen to have
3/4 OZ Limoncello La Croix sparkling water
Directions
Chase Moe down to get the muddler, wash the muddler, then muddle Bacardi, sugar, and mint leaves in a glass. Mix in the lemon juice, add crushed ice, give some ice to Moe, then top with sparkling water. Stir and add garnish. Give Moe a treat (see above). Enjoy!
